FEW WORDS ON THE MEETING OF 7 FEBRUARY LAST MEETING UNDER THE PRESIDENCY OF BERSON Michel

President of the General Council has confirmed he will leave that post after the next district elections to be held on 20 and 27 March.

The balance of Mr. BERSON from 1998 to 2011 is very sad. Retain two digits:

• tax increase of nearly 25%
• tripling the debt.

Two points in particular caught my attention during this session:

• the plan to help youth, a budget of 25 million Euros. It seems to be paved good attention, but it is a pity that all projects of expansion or renovation of schools planned for the period 2007/2012 have been good of late.
  
• The route of the future POCL TGV (Paris Orleans Clermont Ferrand, Lyon). This line could give new impetus to our department if we can get a stop on our territory. But above all we must be vigilant. Indeed, one of the paths is likely to take the RER C line. Hopefully he did not borrow channels already largely saturated!!
